Comments: Golden Torch just growing en masse wild - St. Lucia. Golden Torch is a vigorous and hardy heliconia that grows from 4-6 feet tall. It has large musoid leaves that contrast beautifully with the deep yellow flowers. The large yellow, and sometimes red or orange, bracts and sepals create dramatic displays all year long and are excellent as cut flowers. It can be grown in partial to full sun. GTPhoto is a full marine agency covering islands, oceans & underwater - worldwide, with St. Lucia and tropical plants & flowers an absolute specialty - brilliant fun! Tropical flower ID book available - contact the office for copies.
